1️⃣ New York Life's $807B Asset Manager Debuts First Tokenized Fund With Centrifuge
On June 30 New York Life Investment Management, the $807 billion asset management arm of insurer New York Life, launched its first tokenized fund — the NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Segregated Portfolio (ticker HYB) — bringing a high-yield corporate bond strategy onchain with tokenization platform Centrifuge. Subscriptions and redemptions settle in USDC, marking one of the earliest efforts to put a high-yield bond fund on public blockchain infrastructure.

2️⃣ BNY, the World's Largest Custody Bank, Adds USDC to Its Digital Asset Custody Platform
On June 29 BNY — which oversees $59 trillion in assets — said Circle's USDC will be the first stablecoin supported on its Digital Asset Custody platform, letting institutional clients hold USDC in custody and instruct Circle to mint dollars into the stablecoin or redeem it back into dollars through the bank. BNY, already the primary custodian of USDC's reserves, plans to support additional stablecoin issuers over time.

3️⃣ Tokenization Leader Securitize to Debut on NYSE as "SECZ" After Final Merger Approval
Securitize won final shareholder approval for its merger with Cantor Equity Partners II — closing June 26 and raising roughly $400 million — and is set to begin trading on the NYSE on July 2 under the ticker SECZ. The firm, which manages BlackRock's multibillion-dollar BUIDL fund and is slated to serve as digital transfer agent for NYSE's planned tokenized securities platform, becomes one of the first pure-play tokenization firms to list publicly.
4️⃣ Theo Becomes First Crypto-Native Firm to Back Fidelity International's Tokenized Money Market Fund
On June 30 onchain platform Theo allocated $20 million to Fidelity International's USD Digital Liquidity Fund (FILQ), a Moody's Aaa-rated tokenized money market fund, becoming the first crypto-native platform to invest in the $1.06 trillion manager's tokenized product. The deal was executed via Swiss digital asset bank Sygnum, with Chainlink supplying onchain NAV data and JPMorgan approving daily valuations.
5️⃣ Coinbase Opens Luxembourg MiCA Hub, Unlocking a 27-State EU Passport Before July 1 Deadline
On June 24 Coinbase opened its Luxembourg-based MiCA hub, with Coinbase Luxembourg S.A. now on ESMA's register and a single CASP license covering more than 450 million people across the EU. The move landed just ahead of the July 1 end of MiCA's transitional period, after which only fully licensed firms can serve EEA residents — giving early movers a bloc-wide passport.
